New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had a cordial meeting with a delegation from the Dawoodi Bohra community, led by Shahzada Husain Burhanuddin, on the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. During the interaction, Singh extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the community, acknowledging their dedicated efforts toward social welfare.
The delegation briefed the Defence Minister about the various community service initiatives undertaken by the Dawoodi Bohra community in fields such as education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and poverty alleviation. Singh lauded their unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes and recognized their contributions to nation-building.
The Dawoodi Bohra community is known for its strong philanthropic traditions and has been actively involved in projects ranging from food security programs to water conservation efforts. Their initiatives in skill development and education, particularly for marginalized sections of society, were also discussed during the meeting.
