New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasized the global significance of Sanskrit, stating that its impact extends beyond India and continues to be recognized in foreign countries.

"The importance of the Sanskrit language can be understood from the fact that even today, its influence can be seen in foreign countries," Singh remarked.

Considered the mother of many languages, Sanskrit has shaped linguistic and philosophical traditions worldwide. Its influence can be observed in European languages, particularly in linguistic structures and vocabulary. Additionally, global interest in Sanskrit scriptures, yoga, and ancient Indian sciences has grown, with leading universities worldwide offering courses on the language.
