HYDERABAD — In a special board meeting of the Telangana Waqf Board, Chairman Syed Azmaullah Hussain voiced strong opposition to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, labeling it as a transformative measure that threatens the integrity of Muslim Waqf properties.

Hussain criticized the central government's approach, characterizing the bill as an attempt to overhaul the Waqf Board in a manner akin to "running a bulldozer" over the properties designated for Muslim welfare. He expressed concern that the proposed changes would undermine the management and protection of these assets, potentially affecting the communities they serve.
