Wagner uprising, two presidents meet

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan about the Wagner uprising on June 24.

The Kremlin said the call was made by the UAE and that the president was keen to "hear an assessment of the situation in Russia related to the June 24 coup attempt."

According to the Kremlin, Mohammed bin Zayed expressed "full support for the actions of the Russian leadership".

The UAE president and the Russian president discussed bilateral relations over the telephone and reiterated the need to safeguard Russia's stability and people's security.
