Ex-BJP Candidate Debashish Dhar Moves Supreme Court

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid the Lok Sabha elections, former BJP candidate from Birbhum, Debashish Dhar approaches the Supreme Court over the cancellation of his nomination on April 29, Monday.

BJP leader Debashish Dhar has also sought an urgent hearing on the plea pertaining to his nomination. The Top Court said that they would look into the matter.

Former IPS officer Debashish Dhar's nomination for the Lok Sabha elections was cancelled during the scrutiny round on April 26, Friday. Subsequently, the BJP fielded Debtanu Bhattacharya as its second candidate from the Birbhum constituency in West Bengal.
