Union Min Smriti Irani Files Nomination From Amethi, Uttar Pradesh

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid the Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister and BJP Candidate Smriti Irani filed her nomination papers from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh on April 29, Monday.

Smriti Irani was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav. Before filing the nomination, Smriti Irani held a mega roadshow in Amethi along with Yadav. Moreover, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also filed a nomination from Lucknow parallelly. He was accompanied by UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Amethi will vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20.

Amethi will face elections in the fifth phase on May 20. Smriti Irani has been serving as an MP from Amethi since 2019. She defeated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Amethi and took over the Congress bastion in 2019.
