BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Supreme Court on Wednesday stated that its power to intervene in a Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) probe on the allegations against Adani Group broached in Hindenburg’s research report is limited.

Moreover, The SC asserted that no valid grounds to transfer the investigation from SEBI to the Special Investigation Team and refused to order the SIT probe.

The Top Court also instructed SEBI to complete its investigation of two pending cases out of 24 in under three months.

Furthermore, the Supreme Court directed the Center and SEBI to consider the recommendation of an expert committee to fortify the framework.
