Decided to sell tomatoes at Rs 80 per kg: Government of India

Tomato prices are rised across the country. In some places, the price of tomatoes has crossed Rs 300-350 per kg. In the meantime, the central government has made a big announcement.

GOI says, "After re-evaluating the situation at more than 500 points in the country, it has been decided to sell tomatoes at Rs 80 per kg from Today, July 16. Sale through NAFED and NCCF has started today at several points in Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Muzaffarpur and Ara. Depending on the existing market price in these places, it will be extended to more cities from tomorrow.”
