Kuwait City: During his historic visit to Kuwait, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the long-standing relationship between India and Kuwait, calling it one of "civilizations, the sea, goodwill, and trade." He emphasized that both nations are connected not just by diplomacy, but also by their shared history and cultural bonds.

“The relationship between India and Kuwait is one of civilisations, the sea, goodwill, and trade. India and Kuwait are situated on two shores of the Arabian Sea. We are connected not just through diplomacy but also through our hearts. It is not just our present but also our shared past that unites us,” said PM Modi, addressing the people of Kuwait during his visit.

This marks the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years, underscoring the growing strategic and cultural ties between the two countries. PM Modi's remarks emphasize the strong foundation of bilateral relations built over centuries, which are strengthened by trade, a shared maritime heritage, and a deep mutual respect.

The visit is seen as a significant step towards further cementing the ties between India and Kuwait, with discussions expected to focus on enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, and cultural exchange.
