New Delhi, April 4 — Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed senior leadership of the Indian Army at the ongoing Army Commanders’ Conference in New Delhi, commending their role in advancing the nation's defence and security vision. The conference, a key biannual event, serves as a platform for strategic-level deliberations on operational, administrative, and modernization matters.

In his address, Singh congratulated the Army commanders for their decisive leadership and proactive efforts in elevating India’s defence posture. “The Army’s leadership has taken forward the nation’s defence and security vision to new heights,” he remarked. He also acknowledged the Army’s progressive approach in embracing cutting-edge technologies, a crucial aspect in maintaining operational readiness and modernization.

Singh emphasized the significance of long-term preparedness in the current global and regional context. “In view of the dynamic geo-strategic environment and emerging global security challenges, it is imperative for our armed forces to undertake dynamic and forward-looking perspective planning,” he said.

He urged the Army to continue aligning its strategic roadmap with both immediate and future challenges, reinforcing India’s defence capability across all domains.
