Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president Bomma Maheshkumar Goud on Wednesday lauded the recently conducted caste survey, stating that it was carried out scientifically, without any errors, and has officially established the OBC population at 56% in the state.

"The survey has been done meticulously, scientifically, and without any error. Now, the OBCs have an established fact that they are 56% in Telangana. It is a proud moment for the OBCs that their percentage of population has been officially established, thanks to the Congress government," Goud said.

The caste survey, a long-standing demand of various social and political groups, is expected to play a crucial role in shaping welfare policies and reservation frameworks in the state. The Congress government has positioned the survey as a historic step toward social justice and empowerment of backward classes.
