Hockey Star Sreejesh Backs Vinesh Phogat Amid CAS Hearing

Paris: Indian Men's Hockey Team Goalkeeper and Bronze medallist PR Sreejesh expressed his support for wrestler Vinesh Phogat amid her ongoing case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Phogat, who faced significant challenges last year, showed remarkable sportsmanship by reaching the finals of the Paris Olympics.

"What Vinesh Phogat did is a very big thing," Sreejesh said, reflecting on her journey. He noted the shock felt by many upon learning that despite reaching the finals, Phogat would not be receiving a medal. "We are all standing with her and we pray to God that there is a positive result and we get a Silver medal," Sreejesh added, voicing hope for a favorable decision from the CAS.
