There are many ways to fight depression, with treatment and sometimes medication. Behavioral changes, including physical activity,
lifestyle, and even thinking, are all natural treatments for depression:
1. Get used to everyday life: Depression can destroy the structure of your
life. One day melts into another. A carefree routine can help get you back
on track.
2. Set goals: When you are depressed, you may feel that there is
nothing you can do about it. This makes you feel worse. To
push yourself, set a daily goal.
3. Exercise: This temporarily raises levels of feel-good chemicals called
endorphins.
4. Eat right: There is no magic diet to cure depression. However, it is
better to observe what you eat. If your depression is causing
you to overeat, adjusting your diet will make you feel better.
