By a Staff Reporter: The Maharashtra cabinet on Saturday decided to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar and Osmanabad to Dharashiv. Navi Mumbai Airport has also been renamed as DB Patil Airport.

Incidentally, this decision was earlier taken by Uddhav Thackeray in his last cabinet. However, he left the post of chief minister before it was legally changed.

Hence, today the decision was given legal recognition by the present Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
