BY A STAFF REPORTER: A woman gave birth outside the hospital’s emergency department after the central government-run Safdarjung Hospital allegedly refused to admit a pregnant woman. While the hospital has denied such allegation, the Union Health Ministry has sought a report in this matter. The hospital denied the allegation, saying it had a policy that no patient was denied admission and the woman was given hospitalization papers but she did not return with the papers. The statement said that as the Safdarjung Hospital does not have a patient refusal policy, the woman was examined on the same day at 6.45 pm by a senior resident on duty and the condition of the woman was found to be 33 weeks and six days pregnant, the statement said
