Kanpur accident: probe reveals driver was speeding, 17 dead, four injured

The driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle on a bridge in Kishannagar area and collided with a three wheeler on Tuesday night, according to initial investigations carried out by UP police.  Police said 17 persons died and four others are critically injured in the accident. The three wheeler has been mauled beyond recognition. Most of the dead were passengers of the bus. All occupants of the three wheeler also died in the incident.
