'Today will be written in the history of the world's river cruise'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the world's largest river cruise. MV Ganga Vilas will cover 3,200 km in 51 days through five states of India and parts of Bangladesh. It will start from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and reach Dibrugarh in Assam via Bangladesh. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, 'Today will be written in the history of the world's river cruise because it will be the longest journey in the world. It will pass through UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bangladesh and reach Dibrugarh. Through this journey, not only the path of tourism but also the path of trade will open.'
