KL Rahul gets grand reception in dressing room after his 127* knock at Lord's

By a Staff Reporter: It was a day of Test cricket that started with rain but ended with everyone applauding the Team India opening batsman KL Rahul, for putting on a masterclass on the first day of the second Test between England and India at the Lord's Cricket Ground. Rahul, who played a second fiddle to Rohit Sharma (he was on 19 when Sharma was on 81) became the hero and the main reason for the tourists dominating the day after being put in to bat first by the England skipper Joe Root. India lost the wicket of skipper Virat Kohli a few minutes before the stumps but Rahul and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane got through to the end of the day unscathed and the former received a massive reception by his teammates and the support staff in the dressing room. Rahul was embraced by his opening partner Rohit first, who forged a 126-run stand with him.
