Delhi LG Calls Meeting on Heatwave Relief

Amidst a surge in heatwave-related fatalities in Delhi, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has instructed the Chief Secretary to convene a crucial meeting with officials from the Social Welfare department, DUSIB, and Health departments. The objective is to ensure effective measures are in place to provide essential amenities such as water and shelter to vulnerable groups including the destitute, homeless, and poor. This directive underscores the urgency to mitigate the impact of the ongoing heatwave and safeguard the most at-risk populations in the capital city.
