Shahjahan Sheikh's Associate Aamir Ali Gazi Arrested From Jharkhand

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the West Bengal Police arrested Aamir Ali Gazi, Shahjahan Sheikh's close aide, from Jharkhand on 29th February, Thursday 

The Sub-divisional Police officer of Minakhan, North 24 Parganas, informed that Aamir Ali Gazi has been arrested from Jharkhand. Gazi is also one of the accused in the sexual exploitations and land-grabbing cases committed in Sandeshkhali.

The Trinamool Congress has suspended arrested TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh from the party for six years. 

the controversial TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh was arrested by West Bengal Police in the Minakhan area of North 24 Parganas. He has been awarded 10-day custody by a local court in Basirhat. Also, West Bengal CID is set to take over a probe into cases against Shahjahan Sheikh.

Furthermore, Shahjahan Sheikh has been absconding since 5th January when an ED team was attacked by a mob while conducting raids at Sheikh's residence.

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar.
