Span on Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Bridge Collapses in Bihar

In Samastipur, Bihar, a span of the under-construction Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Bridge reportedly collapsed on Sunday near the Nandani Lagunia Railway Station. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of the project, which is still underway.

However, Mohan Singh, the project manager, clarified the situation, stating that the span had not collapsed. "The span didn’t collapse, but a girder was dismantled during a process of replacement," Singh explained.

This clarification seeks to address growing concerns, as initial reports suggested a collapse. The Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Bridge, once completed, is expected to enhance connectivity in the region.

Authorities are currently investigating the situation to ensure no further disruptions occur during the construction process.
