India marked Utkala Dibasa, or Odisha Day, on Monday, celebrating the state’s rich history, culture, and achievements. The day commemorates the formation of Odisha as a separate province on April 1, 1936.
Leaders across the nation extended their wishes, acknowledging Odisha’s contributions to literature, music, and social progress. The state is known for its deep cultural roots, magnificent temples, classical dance forms like Odissi, and renowned festivals such as Rath Yatra.
Odisha’s people, known for their resilience and hard work, have excelled in various fields, from sports to industry. Over the past year, both the Central and Odisha governments have been working closely to drive economic and infrastructural development in the state.
