At least three killed and others wounded in Jerusalem shooting

BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least three people were killed and six others wounded by gunmen in Jerusalem, local authorities said.

"The terrorists are from East Jerusalem," police chief Doron Turgeman said Thursday. They were armed with a pistol and an M-16 rifle. They reached there in a car and opened fire on civilians. Two soldiers and a civilian were killed by the attackers. One of the injured was pronounced dead at the scene by magen David Adom rescue agency and the other two were pronounced dead at Shre Zedek Hospital. "

Israel police spokesman's unit said the attackers opened fire on civilians at a bus stop at 7:40 a.m. The scene has been sealed and additional searches are underway to locate additional suspects.
