BY A STAFF REPORTER: Three British tourists have reportedly gone missing after a boat caught fire in egypt's Red Sea. Rescuers are searching for the three missing tourists. There were 27 passengers, including 15 British tourists, on board the boat off the coast of Marsa Alam city at the time of the accident.
Twenty-four people, including 12 British tourists, have been rescued and a search is on for the remaining three, the sources said.
A UK Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement that they were in contact with local authorities. The spokesman added that they were supporting uk citizens involved.
The incident comes days after the Red Sea resort of Hurghada closed the beach. The beaches were closed after a Russian man was killed in a shark attack.
