New Delhi: In a significant development, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, marking the first time the DDA will undertake projects outside the national capital. Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena termed the occasion "historic" and praised the authority's expanding role in urban development.
"Today is a historic day as the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has come to work outside Delhi for the first time," Saxena said. He highlighted the strategic importance of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and emphasized that DDA's extensive experience in urban planning and infrastructure development would greatly benefit the region.
Recognizing DDA's achievements in recent years, Saxena stated, "What DDA has done in the last 2-3 years is amazing." He expressed optimism about future collaborations, stating, "The people of Delhi will get more such projects."
