Delhi Police's South West district arrested two individuals involved in the illegal trade. Surendra Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South West, provided details of the operation in a statement, revealing that the main accused, Md Shadab, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended in Delhi's Mahipalpur. A raid on his residence led to the recovery of 195 gm of MD (mephedrone) and 77 gm of heroin.

"On his instance, we arrested a foreign national, Ms. Clara, from Nigeria, who was also linked to the drug racket," said DCP Chaudhary. The police believe that both suspects were part of a larger drug-trafficking network that operated within the city.

According to the police, the accused utilized the Porter app, a platform commonly used for logistics and delivery services, to discreetly supply the drugs. Authorities are investigating whether the app was knowingly involved or if it was misused by the traffickers.

The DCP stated that further interrogation of the arrested individuals is ongoing, with the aim of uncovering any additional links to local or international drug syndicates. The police have intensified their efforts to clamp down on such rackets and are committed to curbing the drug menace in the city.
