By A Staff Reporter: The bodies and injured have been evacuated and officials are currently trying to figure out if any more are trapped in one of the worst train disasters in recent memory, according to senior railway officials at the accident site.
Speaking to ANM News, director general of Railway Protection Force, Sanjay Chander said the injured and the bodies have been taken to various hospitals. “Senior railway officials and minister will be visiting the site and holding meetings to ascertain the cause of the accident,” he said.
Around 233 passengers died and more than 400 are injured after three trains collided at Balasore in Odisha. “The railway officials will work to clear the tracks and remove the mauled bogies,” he addd.
