Kapil Sibal Demands SIT Probe Into Electoral Bonds Matter

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Soon after the release of details, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Friday demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the Electoral Bonds Scheme matter.

Sibal asserted that an SIT should be constituted as other government agencies won't investigate the Electoral Bonds case. He also stated that the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation are under the influence of sleeping pills and they would have taken quick actions if Opposition was primarily involved. He further maintained the 'PM CARES' fund should also be investigated.

The Election Commission of India published the details of Electoral Bonds on Thursday which was submitted by the SBI after the Supreme Court's order on March 11. Furthermore, the details revealed that Future Gaming and Hotel Services along with Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. Are among the top donors to prominent political parties. The political parties that received the funding are BJP, INC, AIADMK, TMC, TDP, and others.
