Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: During his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the transformational development underway in Varanasi, expressing optimism about the city’s future as a hub for infrastructure, business, and sports.

“In the coming months, when all the development work will be completed, when commuting to and from Varanasi will become easier, there will be progress in work and in businesses,” PM Modi said.

He announced that trial runs of the city's CT ropeway system have begun, marking a significant step toward modern urban mobility. The ropeway is expected to ease congestion and improve connectivity in the holy city.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister set an ambitious goal of hosting the 2036 Olympics, urging the youth of Kashi to begin preparations now. “To shine in the Olympics, the youth of Kashi will have to begin training today,” he said, underlining the government's ongoing efforts to expand sports infrastructure and opportunity in the region.
