Delhi Government Prepares for Potential Floods, Says Atishi

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi addressed concerns about potential flooding in the capital during a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). "The level of Yamuna has not risen. But since last year there have been floods in Delhi and this year there have been rains of record number, the Delhi government is prepared for the flood-like situation," she stated. Atishi emphasized the government's readiness, highlighting proactive measures in light of last year's floods and the recent record rains. The meeting included representatives from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), underscoring a coordinated approach to managing any flood risks.
