BY A STAFF REPORTER: Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Shobha Karandlaje staged a protest along with members of BJP Mahila Morcha against Neha Hiremath's murder in Bengaluru, Karnataka on Tuesday evening.
The demonstrators were seen holding candles and pictures of Neha Hiremath along with placards in Kannada. Moreover, they were raising slogans against the incident.
During the protest, Karandlaje came heavily upon the Karnataka government and accused them of trying to close the case. She further alleged that Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah aims to appease the vote-bank and minorities and hence the government is taking Neha Hiremath's murder lightly.
An MCA student of KLE Technological University and daughter of Congress Councillor Niranjan Hiremath, Neha Hiremath was hacked to death by former classmate Fayyaz on the college campus on April 18, Thursday. The father of the victim has alleged that Fayyaz was Neha's jilted lover and killed her after facing rejection.
