BSF rescued rare species of pigeon from smuggler


By a Staff Reporter : BSF rescued rare species of Pigeons from the cluthches of smugglers at Nadia.
On 4th December, 2021, at midnight, under the South Bengal Frontier, on the basis of reliable information the alert jawans of Border Out Post Mahendra of Battalion number eight, rescued five rare species of pigeons from the clutches of smugglers.

However, the smugglers escaped from the spot taking advantage of the dense darkness and bushes. The smugglers were bringing pigeons of this particular species to India for smuggling from Bangladesh.

The rare pigeons rescued from the clutches of smugglers have been handed over to the Forest Department, Ranaghat.

Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier said that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to stop the smuggling of rare species of birds along the border. He said in clear words that we will not allow smuggling from our area under any circumstances.
