New Delhi, March 4: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted a surprise inspection at Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital and raised serious concerns over its lack of basic medical infrastructure. Highlighting the hospital's shortcomings, she questioned the Arvind Kejriwal-led government on its failure to provide essential healthcare services.
Speaking about the state of the hospital, Gupta said, "In such a large hospital, where thousands of patients are handled daily, the OPD sees 7,000-8,000 patients and admissions are in the thousands, yet there's not a single MRI machine. This hospital serves the entire Delhi NCR, yet it lacks basic facilities."
She further pointed out structural and administrative flaws, stating, "Today, many of these structures are in poor condition and have not been properly planned—there are no nursing stations, platforms for doctors, administrative blocks, or even toilets. Spending more won’t help, and the question remains—who will compensate for this loss, Kejriwal ji and Atishi ji? Forget the 2,500 rupees; answer for this."
