New Delhi: India’s defence exports have reached an all-time high of ₹23,622 crore in FY 2024-25, registering an impressive ₹2,539 crore (12.04%) increase from the previous year’s ₹21,083 crore. This growth highlights India's rising stature as a global defence exporter.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the achievement, congratulating all stakeholders. "Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is marching towards achieving the target of increasing defence exports to ₹50,000 crore by 2029," he stated.

The surge in exports is attributed to policy reforms, increased private sector participation, and government initiatives such as Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence manufacturing. India has expanded its export footprint to over 85 countries, supplying fighter jet components, artillery systems, and naval platforms.

With the government setting an ambitious ₹50,000 crore defence export target by 2029, the latest figures indicate strong momentum towards self-reliance and a robust presence in the global defence market.
