BY A STAFF REPORTER: ISRO won big. ISRO's Aditya-L1 gets a close look at the Sun. Aditya-L1 measured the solar wind.

ISRO's Suryayaan Aditya L1 was launched on September 2 from Mahash Hi in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Aditya-L1 has an ISRO instrument on board. Solar wind is being powered through this device. ISRO posted this information X handle on Saturday.

ISRO's X handle reads, 'The Solar Wind Ion Spectrometer (SWIS) has been activated within the Aditya Solar Wind Particle Exim payload. The instrument has examined proton and alpha particle energy variations in the solar wind over the past two days. ISRO has presented that figure in the graph.
