Kanak Lata Barua is also called Birbala and Shaheed (martyr). She was an Indian freedom activist and a AISF leader. The 17-year-old Kanaklata with a heart full of cherish for the homeland joined Mrityu Bahini, a passing squad of youth from Assam. The Bahini chosen to raise the national hail at the neighborhood police station on September 20, 1942. To do this, Barua driven a gather of unarmed laborers.
