Her patriotic songs have inspired countless people to join the Indian independence movement." Speaking at the inaugural function of the 150th birth anniversary of Shri Aurocindo, Shah said, “If you want to understand the spirit of India, you should listen and read Shri Aurovindo. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Dwarka to Bengal, somewhere or other the same culture binds us all.The purpose of celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo cannot be fulfilled unless we pass on the thoughts of Sri Aurobindo to the new generation and make them curious to know. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we are trying to turn Shri Aurobindo's dream into India in the 75th year of independence.''
