Rain and Thunderstorm Alerts for South Bengal

BY A STAFF REPORTER: According to the meteorological department, Kolkata has experienced excessive rainfall this August. As September begins, a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is causing strong winds.

In light of these conditions, several districts in South Bengal have been put under a rainfall alert. The weather office has indicated that North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, and West Midnapore may experience thunderstorms and rain.

Kolkata is expected to have similar weather conditions.
